Jose Antonio García

Hello! 👋 I'm currently a Deep Learning Engineer at CTN. I have a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Politechnical University of Cartagena (UPCT) and a Master's degree in Data Science from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).

In my free time, I enjoy combining three passions of mine (learning, teaching, and creating) by producing educational content for my YouTube channel and conducting research (some of my work will be published soon 🙂).

My research interests lie in Self-Supervised Learning applied to audio and images, and in training robust encoder models that can be leveraged across a wide range of downstream tasks. I believe that real intelligence lies in encoder-only models.

As Ferris Bueller once said: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." I try to apply this mindset in my daily life.

Beyond the nerdy stuff, I enjoy spending time with the people I love.
